Dr. Edwards offers biofeedback and neurofeedback training to children and adults, for
clinical issues (ADHD, headaches, stroke, anxiety, head injury, stress reduction, etc.) as
well as for enhanced performance training in sports, business, the arts and the art of
daily living.  He is a Fellow in the
Biofeedback Certification Institute of America, certified
in neuro-biofeedback since 1998.  He is a member of the
International Society for
Neurofeedback and Research and the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and
Biofeedback.  Dr. Edwards is on the board of directors of the Northeast Regional
Biofeedback Society  and serves as the past president of the organization.  His
publications include chapters on the clinical applications of biofeedback and meditation
for migraines and fibromyalgia in the Barnes and Noble Health Basics series of books.

Dr. Edwards joined the staff of Cincinnati Children's Hospital in July 2010, working on
developing an integrative care program for children that will include clinical, research
and training components.  Cincinnati Children's Hospital is one of the nations top 3
children's hospitals and is committed to being the leader in integrative care for children.  
This program includes biofeedback, neurofeedback, meditation, massage therapy and
other healing modalities.

Years of study at ashrams and meditation centers in the United States and India are just
part of Dr. Edwards’ extensive background in yoga and meditation. He has run
meditation centers and an ashram in the United States and he has taught at a variety of
institutions in Canada, India and the United States. For years he offered weekly classes
in meditation and yoga for inmates at a federal penitentiary and taught in state prisons
as well.  He has offered seminars on the science and art of meditation at hospitals,
universities, and professional conferences.

Dr. Edwards is the founder and director of the non-profit educational organization the

Anam
Cara Foundation.  It is dedicated to teaching meditative practices from a variety of
approaches to any one who wants to learn and gain the tremendous benefits that
meditation offers.  He has offered a weekly meditation group in Bedford, NY, sponsored
by the Anam Cara Foundation since 2001, in addition to courses and weekend retreats.  
He has taught thousands of people to meditate.

Dr. Edwards has been invited to teach meditation and relaxation practices at
universities, medical schools, hospitals, high schools, professional groups and
associations, businesses, yoga centers, etc. around the country and in India.  If your

Lawrence Edwards, Ph.D.
Dr. Edwards was awarded his Ph.D. in Psychoeducational Processes, clinical
psychology track, in 1986 by Temple University, where he was honored as a University
Scholar.  He was the vice-president and assistant executive director of a private Jungian
psychiatric treatment center for young adults and has been in private practice since
1989, offering transpersonal psychotherapy and meditation training.  In 1997 he began
practicing biofeedback and neurofeedback.  He has been on the faculty of New York
Medical College as a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Medicine since 1998.
Dr. Edwards was certified in hypnosis in 1991 by
the New York Society for Ericksonian
Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy (NYSEPH).  He
has taught meditation internationally for over 35
years and trained teachers in numerous meditation
approaches. He is licensed by the state of New
York as a mental health counselor (LMHC).  He is
relocating his practice to Ohio and will continue
programs in New York where he offers
transpersonal psychotherapy, meditation and peak
performance training for adults.
